Background
It’s APRIL CHALLENGE TIME, round IV and this year, we’re getting personal with another cause that’s close to us: the Cancer Day Unit Appeal at Withybush Hospital.
As we speak, laces are being tied, padded shorts dusted off and Jelly Baby stocks refilled. All in preparation for our boldest challenge yet...
1100 miles in 24 hours (achieved mostly by a stationary bike in the office. And yes - that means there's a 3am shift.)
We're teaming up the best way we know how, to support our very own V and in so doing, raise as much as we can for the Withybush Hospital Cancer Day Unit Appeal. Your donation will enable them to invest in facilities and equipment needed by their team of clinicians and nurses so that they can continue their incredible work supporting and providing health care to cancer patients in Pembrokeshire.
Cause for Drama
A newly formed entertainment group Cause for Drama recently
staged their own take at Letterston Memorial Hall of
pantomime favourite Cinderella to help raise funds for
the Cancer Day Unit at Withybush Hospital.
The group came up with the idea in support of Non Harries, a
well known musical director in North Pembrokeshire who has
been receiving treatment at the Unit.
Tristan Mansell, from the group explained “Non is at
the heart of our music community so we wanted to do
something positive for her and for others who attend the
Unit".
It was so successful that they
plan to repeat the pantomime
again with two further shows on April 6th at Letterston Memorial hall for those who could not get tickets.

(Search for Cause for Drama facebook page for further details).
An incredible £3,400 was raised as a result of their efforts. A massive thank you from all at the charity and from the CDU nursing team

Family and friends joined forces last year to honour a well known character Gwilym Cornock from the Pembrokeshire farming community. At the time Gwilym needed the support of the local Cancer Day Unit so the family decided to undertake the Welsh Three Peaks challenge to raise funds for the hospital.
